The Omega Clan is led by The Omega, a clone of Goliath created through a combination of magic and science in a dark future. While his physical appearance mirrors the hero of Manhattan, his personality is hardened by centuries of war and loss. His goal is to unite all gargoyle clans under his rule, believing that only through absolute dominance can they survive the hostile world they inhabit.

The membership consists primarily of clones created from the DNA of various gargoyle heroes, including Demona and others, twisted into loyal soldiers for The Omega's cause. These members are often referred to as 'Omega Clan' gargoyles, lacking the individuality and free will that defines their original counterparts. They serve as a stark contrast to the diverse personalities of the Manhattan Clan.

In the central conflicts of the series, the Omega Clan acts as a catalyst for the Manhattan Clan's growth. Their invasion forces Goliath and his family to confront difficult questions about destiny, leadership, and the nature of evil.
